Get to Know Me
I have passion for how games work. I love dynamic mechanics, complicated systems, and engaging narrative. My favorite thing is when the three all blend together such that the narrative begets game mechanics and vice a versa. In me is a driven worker, creative mind, and huge nerd currently living in Florida but originally from New Jersey. Game design for me is more lifestyle than occupation and I'm constantly tinkering with new ideas, systems, and mechanics. In that endeavor I have created countless spreadsheets, documents, and prototypes chronicling ideas which may never be fully realized. At least they're organized.

When I'm not working on a project I'm usually reading stories, playing games (whether tabletop or digital), streaming shows on the internet. Although, it's not long until some small detail about the media I'm consuming to spark a new idea and pull my attention away.

I graduated with a MFA in Interactive Media from University of Central Florida's (UCF) Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) with a GPA of 3.925 GPA. Prior to that I got a BFA in Game Design from New York University with a 3.727 GPA.

My Artistic Approach
Nothing is original.

A shocking truth a glommed onto at a young before a teacher really put it into words for me, but it is a truth. Creativity doesn't come from nowhere. Everything I encounter becomes an inspiration for a new idea and I'm never going to throw any inspiration away. Whether it's something small like the subtle quirks in a person's gait or large like a crazy plot twist at the end of good book. They make me ask why, how, and what would it mean if even one tiny detail was different?

So I experiment. I mix and match, drawing from my own experiences and ever piece of media I've consumed. Creativity for me is about being able to put a spin on things that simultaneously feels fresh and enjoyable, all the while feeling like something no one's seen in full. Familiar yet unexpected. When something doesn't seem to work I don't throw out everything but I look at why it doesn't "work." I'm constantly creating, whether I am writing, drawing, coding, or just thinking.
Even my hobbies become creative. World building was for a long time just a hobby for me, as I was that kid always running off to the imaginary worlds in his head. I run and play in games of D&D because that game is all about collaboratively telling a story. Writing helps me relax and even my love for cooking comes from a love of trying to experiment with food.
